Since 1966, Solaft has been proudly helping customers solve highly technical filtration challenges for heavy industrials sectors. Originally formed as the small Filtration Division of Albany International, Australia, today Solaft is a global organisation with >300 staff spread across our regional operating sites in Australia, Asia, and South America and office or distributor sites across all key markets across the world.

Whilst we have grown considerably over >55-years, what has remained consistent in our business is our depth and breadth of technical expertise, our solutions focused mindset and our customer first culture. Our reputation as an industry leader has been built on a deep understanding in each of the industries in which we operate, and combined with in house design and manufacturing teams, it allows us to truly understand the unique needs of each of our customers and develop high quality, high-performance, cost-effective products that directly address their requirements.

  • Solaft began operations in Brazil.
  • Solaft expanded its operations to include shaker bags for Coal-Fired Power Generation.

1972

  • Solaft began operations in Brazil.

  • Solaft was the first to apply pulse jet technology in Coal-Fired Power Generation.

1979

  • Solaft was the first to apply pulse jet technology in Coal-Fired Power Generation.

  • Solaft supplied its first Coal-Fired Power station in the USA and South Africa.

1995

  • Solaft supplied its first Coal-Fired Power station in the USA and South Africa.

  • Innovative woven fabric was introduced for Shaker bags in Coal-Fired Power Generation.

2001

  • Innovative woven fabric was introduced for Shaker bags in Coal-Fired Power Generation.

  • Solaft opened a 10,000 sqm factory in China with yarn plant, looms, and fabrication equipment, and became the first company to supply pulse jet filter bags to the Chinese Coal-Fired Power Generation sector.

2005

  • Albany International sold Albany Filtration Technologies, and the company became 100% Australian owned.

2008

  • Solaft opened a 2,000 sqm factory in Brazil with fabrication capability.
  • A PPS fabric capable of filtering up to 20 mg/Nm³ was developed.

2009

  • Solaft opened a 2,000 sqm factory in Brazil with fabrication capability.
  • A PPS fabric capable of filtering up to 20 mg/Nm³ was developed.

  • Long life Kelly Filters were developed and installed at an Australian refinery.

2010

  • Long life Kelly Filters were developed and installed at an Australian refinery.

  • Albany Filtration Technologies was rebranded as Solaft Filtration Solutions to emphasize the company’s independence and commitment to providing solutions to its customers.

2013

  • Albany Filtration Technologies was rebranded as Solaft Filtration Solutions to emphasize the company’s independence and commitment to providing solutions to its customers.

  • A high-efficiency filter bag made from P84/PPS material was developed specifically for use in Coal-Fired Power Generation.

2014

  • A high-efficiency filter bag made from P84/PPS material was developed specifically for use in Coal-Fired Power Generation.

  • A PPS fabric capable of filtering up to 10 mg/Nm³ was developed.

2015
